We live in a day and age when every minute counts. We can barely afford to be late by a minute, as this would cost some money, particularly for fast-paced industries.
But what if you needed to spare a few minutes of your day to maintain or improve your looks? Would it make a difference? A large portion of a person's twenty-four-hour day is spent on personal hygiene and improvement.
Perhaps, you would be able to spend a few minutes each day to take out those stains on your teeth due to drinking coffee or cola during your break and due to smoking. You might remember those tedious work hours preparing for your important presentation, that you had to drink cup after cup of coffee or smoke one cigarette stick after another.
So, you would now ask, is there something that can be done to whiten your teeth without wearing those mouth trays every night or applying gel preparations on your teeth twice a day over, and it would take several weeks before noticeable change can be observed? Is there something that can be done fast so that your teeth will be whiter when you make that critical product presentation?
Years ago, the answer would have been "no." But now, they have discovered teeth-whitening procedures that can be done in an hour in a dentist's office or for three days for the Take-Home Whitening Kit.
So what kind of whitening technology does Zoom! Whitening System which is not being used for other teeth-whitening systems?
Zoom! one-hour whitening uses light to increase the effects of the teeth-whitening gel.
The procedure is done first, by checking that the gums and the teeth are healthy and can handle bleaching. Then the dentist will spread a hydrogen peroxide whitening gel over the teeth. He or she will then use the Zoom! light to break down the hydrogen peroxide molecules, releasing oxygen bleaching molecules to penetrate and clean the dentin and enamel.
After three applications of the bleaching gel, which is done for twenty minutes each, your oral health care professional will apply neutral sodium fluoride gel, to strengthen the teeth, for five minutes. The dentist will also give you an at-home whitener to whitening treatment at home.
This technology uses a mercury halide light which emits light with a wavelength of 350-400nm, indicating that the light has a violet coloration. It is believed that the light within this wavelength activates the active ingredient, peroxide, in the tooth-whitening gel; thus, enhancing its bleaching effect.
The Zoom! bleaching technology uses light that will not change the temperature of the patient's teeth significantly. This is attributed to the fact that the light unit uses an infrared filter which screens-out the heat-producing infrared rays.
Although the Zoom! whitening technology also uses a peroxide-based preparation like other tooth-whitening systems, what makes it different is that this product has two components. It has a 32% hydrogen peroxide gel - which is higher than that contained in most teeth-whitening preparations, and an activator - which makes the peroxide more sensitive to the activation effects of the Zoom! light.
These components are mixed before application to form a gel that has a pH of 7.5 to 8 (which is safe for the mouth) and a hydrogen peroxide concentration of 25%.
The Zoom! Take Home System also uses hydrogen peroxide that release oxygen to bleach the teeth. The gel is placed on the custom-made tray molded by your dentist. The application is then worn from four to eight hours depending on the dentist's recommendation.
This technology shows a significant improvement even just after three applications that using it over the weekend is the best option.
These are the Zoom! whitening options available in the market and would definitely be suitable for your fast-paced lifestyle. So after much coffee during your work hours, you can still look your best when that presentation day comes.
